The Best Hospitals rankings are out from U.S. News & World Report and Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Northern Dutchess Hospital and Putnam Hospital Center all were ranked as high performing.
After evaluating more than 4,500 hospital across the country Vassar Brothers got high marks for heart failure and heart bypass surgery while Northern Dutchess and Putnam won praise for their hip replacement procedures.
"Best Hospitals rankings help guide patients to facilities that deliver outstanding care across several specialties, procedures and conditions. The rankings were determined by health care quality measures such as infection rates, quality of nursing care, patient experience and more."
