City Police are investigating a shooting in Poughkeepsie late yesterday afternoon in which the victim suffered a wound to his foot.
The shooting happened on Mill Street and the 23 year old victim was found on North Perry Street. The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment. A short time later police arrested 22 year old Alvin Kiggundu and say he was in possession of a stolen 9mm handgun.
“The investigation into the shooting is continuing. Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call the City of Poughkeepsie Police at 845-451-7577.”
