(Pittsburgh, PA) -- Sales of Pittsburgh Steeler's tackle Alejandro Villanueva's jersey are skyrocketing.
He took the field yesterday and saluted the flag and stood for the national anthem at Chicago's Soldier Field. Villanueva's jersey sales on Fanatics-dot-com are now the top selling Steelers jersey and one of the top selling NFL jerseys.
As Villanueva stood by himself during the national anthem, the rest of the Steelers remained inside the locker room. Villanueva is an ex-Army Ranger who served three tours in Afghanistan and is a bronze star recipient.
