The National Weather Service has extended their Winter Storm Warning to now include all of Dutchess County and eastern Ulster County.
They are also upping their predicted snow totals to 6 to 8 inches . The Weather Service says difficult travel conditions are occurring with drifting and blowing snow. The agency is recommending the If you must travel, make sure you have an emergency kit inside your vehicle. Motorists on area roadways are reporting slow going with near whiteout conditions at times.
