Heat Advisory For Mid-Hudson

(Poughkeepsie, NY)  --  It is another day of hot temperatures across the Mid-Hudson. A Heat Advisory is in effect with heat indices being near or above 100 degrees.

The National Weather Service is recommending people take extra precautions until the heat wave passes especially “if you work or spend time outside. When possible...reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty of water.”

Cooler temperatures aren't expected to move in until near the end of the week.
