(Highland, NY) -- A State Trooper on patrol in Ulster County accidentally struck a pedestrian.
It happened at about 6 yesterday morning on North Road near Route 9-W in Highland. The pedestrian suffered several injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
