(Atlanta, GA) -- The Centers for Disease Control says New York State has the highest number of Lyme disease cases in the nation.
There've been more than 95-thousand confirmed cases since 1986. While the Hudson Valley is a hot spot for Lyme disease, studies show Suffolk County is ground zero for the tick-borne illness which Stony Brook experts say has reached epidemic levels on Long Island. They'll present their findings later today.
