(Albany, NY) -- A new Quinnipiac University poll shows New York State voters support legalized marijuana by a nearly 2-to-1 margin.
The number of New Yorkers who would support allowing adults to legally possess small amounts of marijuana for personal use is at 63-percent, the highest level of support ever in the state. Voters also would support legalizing recreational marijuana by a 63-to-34 margin if taxes on sales increase revenue for the state. Republican voters however say they're opposed to marijuana legalization, even if it means bringing in money for the state.
