Red Cross Emergency Response In Dutchess County

(Fishkill,NY)  --  So many homes in Southern Dutchess County were damaged by the storms yesterday that the American Red Cross has mobile emergency response vehicles traveling through Beacon, Fishkill and Wappinger. Residents who have suffered structural damage to their homes due to the storms can call the Red Cross Emergency Communications Center at (800) 831-0927.

Meanwhile, a state of emergency is in effect in four Hudson Valley counties. Governor Cuomo issued it for Putnam, Sullivan, Orange and Dutchess counties following last night's violent spring storm that toppled trees and power lines. Cuomo says he's deploying 125 New York National Guard troops to help with recovery efforts, including cleanup and directing traffic.
