(Poughkeepsie, NY) -- Central Hudson crews have restored power to more than 45,000 customers of the more than 74,000 customers who lost power during the violent storms on Tuesday.
A field force of nearly 470 electric line workers, approximately 180 tree trimmers and a support staff of hundreds is involved in the power restoration effort. Central Hudson is distributing dry ice and bottle water at several locations until 5pm today or until supplies run out.
