Despite a rough winter, construction is pretty much on schedule at the Kartrite Hotel & Indoor Waterpark in Sullivan County. Hundreds of construction workers have been on the site near the Resorts World Catskills Casino, building the steel superstructure and preparing the property for the family-friendly fun park.
Workers today were completing construction of the transparent Texlon roof. The barrel-shaped roof structure will allow for natural sunlight throughout the two acre indoor water park. Park engineers say the innovative roof structure will help to create “a vegetation-rich environment and a picturesque view of the Catskill Mountains.”
Work also continues on the adjoining hotel with 324 guest suites. The hotel and park are scheduled to open in early 2019.
