(Poughkeepsie, NY) -- These are the final days of Toys R Us and the chain is marking down prices even further.
The company said on Facebook this week that discounts now range from 50-70 percent with what it calls limited exceptions. The highest-demand items though, like Nintendo and PlayStation video gaming systems, have been gone from stores for weeks.
The discounts are now in effect at the Toys R Us store in the Town of Poughkeepsie and the Babies R Us store in Wappinger. It was back in March that Toys R Us announced it would have to liquidate all 880 of its stores in the United States. The Toys R Us store near Kingston closed in April. Toys R Us generated up to-20 percent of all U.S. toy sales last year.
