(Tivoli, NY) -- In Dutchess County New York State Police assisted a Bard College student during a crisis situation.
Yesterday at about 4:45 p.m., Troopers responded to the Village of Tivoli water tower where the student was threatening to jump. State Police crisis negotiators were then called to the scene, and were able to successfully convince the student t to climb down from the water tower.
After gettomg safely to the ground, the person was transported to the Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital.The State Police were assisted by the Tivoli Fire Department, Northern Dutchess Paramedics, Arlington Rope Rescue team, City of Poughkeepsie Rescue 1, and the Lagrange Fire Department.
