(Fishkill, NY) -- The Megalodon has landed at Splashdown Beach in Fishkill. The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting yesterday for the latest thrill ride at the waterpark operated by the Turk Hospitality Group .
Owner Steve Turk says the six-story water attraction rushes river rafters through a dark tunnel dropping them down a 60 Ft. vertical freefall, while experiencing the thrill of anti-gravity forces
Megalodon is now the largest attraction at Splashdown. Turk says his company has spent 25 million dollars over the last several years in new rides, attractions, and capital improvements all in an effort to make Splashdown a great place for the family
Splashdown Beach employs over 350 seasonal workers, and is the place for the first job for many high school students.
