I hope you were able to hear my interview this morning with Jordan Goodman. The “Money Answers Man” analyzed the latest jobs numbers.
The economy keeps adding jobs, but the pace slowed somewhat last month. The Labor Department reports 157-thousand jobs were created in July. That's fewer than the 190-thousand analysts had forecast and it's short of the 248-thousand jobs created in June.
Still, July is in the 94th month in a row the economy has added jobs. The unemployment rate fell a tenth of a percent, to three-point-nine percent. The Drudge Report says there are now more Americans employed than ever before.
