(New York, NY) -- Cynthia Nixon is responding to reports that Governor Andrew Cuomo pressured contractors to finish the Tappan Zee Bridge replacement ahead of tommorow's primary.
The New York Times released an internal document showing Cuomo offered to not hold the bridge builders responsible for any accidents or damage, if the span was open by August 24th. Nixon called the move a dangerous and cheap political stunt that put the lives of New Yorkers in danger. The governor denied the claim, calling it part of the "political silly season."
