(Poughkeepsie, NY) -- Double trouble yesterday for a 30 year old Poughkeepsie man.
First the man was shot early yesterday morning on Edgar Street in Poughkeepsie. Then the private vehicle that was rushing him to the hospital was involved in an accident. City of Poughkeepsie police officers transferred the man to a patrol car and drove him to the hospital.
Police say multiple shots were fired during the incident at about 5:43am. The victim yesterday was undergoing surgery for his wounds. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call City of Poughkeepsie Police at (845) 451-7577.
