(Poughkeepsie, NY) -- Dutchess and Ulster counties and the rest of the Mid-Hudson are under a High Wind Watch from Saturday afternoon through Saturday Evening.
According to the National Weather Service, our area will experience sustained winds of 20 to 35 mph with wind gusts of up to 60 mph. The agency says the strong winds may potentially bring down trees and power-lines. Scattered to numerous power outages are possible. The High Wind Watch extends into the Catskills and Taconics.
