(New York, NY) -- Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio are announcing efforts aimed at guiding Amazon during the second headquarters project. A Community Advisory Committee is being formed to share information and gather input from residents, ahead of the planned construction in Queens.
Amazon has vowed to bring 25-thousand jobs to New York City, but some have criticized the billions of dollars in tax subsidies given to the tech-giant, while also voicing concerns over how the subway system will become even more crowded.
Tomorrow, the City Council and Amazon executives will gather in the first of three planned meetings, with protestors expected outside City Hall.
