(New York, NY) -- Older headlights are generating only 22-percent of their original light causing them to become a major concern to motorists, according to AAA.
In a new study, the automotive insurance company is advising vehicle owners to replace their old headlights. A deterioration in light means a deterioration in roadway vision as the plastic casings on headlights fade due to sunlight exposure.
There is a cheaper alternative to replacement with restoration, but it doesn't return the light to their complete original output. Most drivers don't notice the difference in their headlights as they fade over time.
