Schedule: 

Adults:

1:00 PM “Gardening for Honeybees” with Grai St. Clair Rice of Bejoy. Grai will explain how and why bees forage, and what you can plant to encourage them in your yard.

2:30 PM “Celebrate Flowers in the Garden!”with Locust Grove Gardener, Claire Davis, who will take you on a walk and talk of our blooming flower garden to show you what you can do in your home garden to promote the best environment for pollinators in all 4 seasons!

 

Kids:

1:00 PM - 2:30 “Pollination Party” (all ages but especially ages 4 - 8 and up) Celebrate Birds, Bats, Bees, Butterflies and Bugs with Emily Ellison then make and take a special pollinator mask to wear on a pollinator walk in the garden,

1:00 PM - 2:30 PM “Plant a Garden!” (all ages but especially ages especially ages 8 - 11) Celebrate the vegetables and flowers that are the best for pollination with Candace Gallagher of Pollinator Patrol and then plant their own seedling to grow at home!

 

FOR KIDS AND ADULTS!

3:00 - 4:00 PM MEET THE BEEKEEPERS! Meet our friends Jane and Fedele Fiore of "Fiore Family Honey" who will share their bee keeping experiences and show you how they do it!
