Town of Poughkeepise Police detectives are searching for an elderly man who tried to rob a bank.
Police say the man who is about 70 years old walked into the Citizens Bank Branch on Vassar Road yesterday afternoon and attempted a robbery. The man did not display a weapon.
“The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 70 years of age; 5’8” and slim; wearing glasses and a plaid shirt with a dark zip up jacket and a baseball cap with a logo similar to the Houston Astros star. The investigation is ongoing and anyone who may have witnessed someone in the area fitting this description is asked to contact the Town of Poughkeepsie Detective Division at 845-485-3670. “
