Local residents are getting ready for the biggest snow storm of the new year.
www.HudsonValleyWeather.com is predicting that the snow will begin to overspread the Mid-Hudson between midnight and 3am. Heavy snow is predicted to fall during the morning commute which will possibly lead to treacherous driving conditions.
Some road crews have already started treating highways and streets for the snow as area supermarkets take care of the rush of customers stocking up on staples like bread and milk.
