(Saugerties, NY) -- Police are investigating a deadly crash between a taxi cab and a freight train.
Saugerties Police say 50 year old Bertha Whispell was thrown from the taxi and killed yesterday in Saugerties after being hit by a CSX train. Police say that the driver, 43 year old Phillip Prindle, and an injured passenger are being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Police are investigating why the taxi was on the tracks.
