(Sullivan Co., NY) -- An Upstate New York Coyote hunt is being considered a success.
The Tenth Annual Coyote Hunt sponsored by the Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs in Sullivan County resulted in a record number of coyotes trapped or killed. Syracuse.com reports that of the 85 coyotes taken during the hunt, nine were killed in Ulster County, four in Orange County and 3 in Dutchess County.
The heaviest coyotes were taken in Orange County at 49 pounds and in Putnam County at 46 pounds.
