The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department is inviting the community to pay tribute to the memory of Detective John Falcone by giving blood at a special Red Cross blood drive on Monday.
Detective Falcone was killed in the line of duty back in February of 2011. He was fatally shot while responding to a domestic violence incident. His sacrifice saved the life of a three year old child.
The blood drive will be held at the Italian Community Center on Mill Street from 1-7pm on Monday.
