A Marlboro woman is in critical condition after she was shot in the face.
New York State Police, Marlboro PD and Ulster County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call yesterday reporting a victim with a gunshot wound at a home in the Town of Marlboro. Officers found a 21 year old woman with a single gunshot wound to her face. The victim was transported to Westchester Medical Center and is listed in critical condition.
Police arrested 21 year old Darren Olympia of Newburgh and say he recklessly discharged a legally owned handgun. The shot “inadvertently struck the victim in the face.” Olympia is facing charges of Assault and Reckless Endangerment.
