NY Attorney General Says Immigrant Students Are Protected

(Albany, NY) -- New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says immigrant students will remain protected.

Yesterday, Schneiderman said that New York schools ensure the rights of immigrant students under state and federal laws. He said that no family should have to worry about deportation when sending their child to school.

State school districts were reminded of their duties to uphold immigrant students' rights and safeguard their information.
