Cutting expenses and consolidating services was the focus as local county executives explained how they are working to reduce taxes.
At the Pattern For Progress Leader’s Breakfast yesterday Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro, Ulster County Executive Mike Hein, Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus and Sullivan County Legislature Chairman Luis Alvarez spoke to about 330 people gathered at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel. The local leaders agreed that one of the roadblocks to their efforts is the mandates passed down by the state and federal governments.
Pattern President Jonathan Drapkin was the moderator for the annual event.
