(New York, NY) -- The three major New York area airports are among the worst in the country when it comes to taking off and landing on time.
U.S. Department of Transportation statistics for last year show Newark Airport is dead last in departure flights with about 25 percent of flights leaving late. LaGuardia only had about 72 percent of flights land on time, which is the worst in the country for arrivals.
JFK was near the bottom of the list in both categories. The DOT ranked the nation's 29 busiest airports.
