Today is the deadline to file applications for the enhanced STAR Property tax exemption.
Homeowners who meet income and age guidelines are eligible. The program gives eligible homeowners breaks on their property and school taxes. Homeowners who are 65 and older with less than $86,000 in yearly income qualify.
Applications can be filed with the town or city assessor’s office.
