The FDR Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park yesterday was the setting for a U.S. Postal Service first-day-of-issue ceremony. The 10 new Forever stamps that were dedicated are in the design of 10 WPA posters created under President Roosevelt’s WPA Federal Art Project.
United States Postmaster General Megan Brennan unveiled the stamps. Brennan was joined at the stamp dedication ceremony by Paul Sparrow, director, Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum; Anthony Musso, author and historian; and David B. Roosevelt, grandson of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt.
The stamps are now available at your local post office or online.
