(New York, NY) -- Mass transit is slowly returning to normal following the blizzard.
After shutting down yesterday, Metro-North today is operating trains on a modified schedule. Tuesday afternoon Metro-North service was totally shut down in and out of Dutchess County.
Meanwhile, passengers headed for any of the New York City area's three major airports today are being warned to allow extra time to get to their flights. Nearly three-thousand flights were canceled at Kennedy, LaGuardia and Newark Airports yesterday because of the blizzard.
