(Albany, NY) -- The state is replacing I Love New York signs knocked down by a major windstorm.
The signs remain a point of contention because the Federal Highway Administration has deemed the signs illegal and called for them to come down but the state has yet to comply. More than a billion-dollars in federal funding is on the line if the state doesn't come to an agreement with the feds on these signs.
