Gun ownership is down in New York.
Wallethub released a study ranking New York at number 49 in gun ownership. According to the study, New York nearly has the fewest gun owners and gun background checks per capita in the country. Rhode Island is ranked dead last at number 50. Alaska is on top in the country with the most guns per capita.
