New York is the worst state in the nation in a ranking of which states are best for doctors.
Finance-and-lifestyle website WalletHub.com says New York ranks dead last when compared to the other 49 states and the District of Columbia. WalletHub based its comparisons across 14 key metrics, ranging from physicians' wages to hospitals per capita. Iowa ranks as the best state for doctors, while New York ranks 51st.
