City of Poughkeepsie department heads are being asked to tighten their belts and find savings to help pay off the bill for the cleanup of the big blizzard earlier this month.
Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison says the city spent about $450,000 to battle the blizzard including 4,000 personnel hours for around the clock snow removal operations.
The costs would have been even higher except that Poughkeepsie got a huge helping hand from NYSDOT crews and the NY Army National Guard.
