(Dutchess Co., NY) -- State Park Police are identifying the man killed in the paragliding accident in Dutchess County.
Police say Varick Stringham of Columbia County crashed into Brace Mountain on Tuesday and died from his injuries. A parks official said Stringham hit turbulence causing him to drop into a wooded area of the mountain. Firefighters had to hike through the woods for several hours to reach the man.
