(New York, NY) -- More than 500-thousand Easter toys have been recalled from Target stores because of a choking and swallowing hazard.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the recall on about 560-thousand "Hatch and Grow Easter Eggs" that are water absorbent and were being sold at Target stores across the country. The recall says that if the toy were to be eaten by a child, it could expand inside their stomach and lead to internal obstructions, ultimately leading to surgery.
Consumers can bring the package to a Target store for a full refund.
