(Albany, NY) -- More drivers in the Upper Hudson Valley are paying distracted driving tickets than any other part of the state during a recent crackdown.
State police issued more than 15-thousand tickets during Operation Hang Up and more than two thousand of those were for distracted driving. Broken down by region, there were 699 tickets handed out in the Upper Hudson Valley for distracted driving alone. The enforcement blitz took place April 6th through April 10th.
