"Embarrassing Political Maneuver" In Poughkeepsie

Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison says Common Council members who voted against accepting a $315,000 state grant are hurting the residents of Poughkeepsie with an embarrassing political maneuver.   Mayor Rolison is calling on council members to stop “the political posturing” and put aside the personal agendas for the good of the city.

On Monday a council majority turned down the state grant that is earmarked for helping with the merger of Poughkeepsie’s bus system with the Dutchess County Transit system, something that is opposed by the majority of the Common Council.
