Authorities are investigating whether an arsonist is to blame for a fire in a building at the former Hudson River Psychiatric Center in the Town of Poughkeepsie. The fire was fully involved in the brick building when Fairview firefighters arrived on the scene at about 6am yesterday. One firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation.
“The owner of the property, EFG/DRA Heritage, LLC has offered a $5000 reward for information leading to the arrest of individual(s) who caused this fire. Anyone having information about the fire is asked to contact the Town of Poughkeepsie Police at (845) 452-7453.”
