Lawsuits to try to block the closure of the Indian Point Nuclear Plant are being filed.
Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino says he wants to make sure the plant's closure complies with state's environmental laws and that local jobs are safe. Back in January, Governor Cuomo and the Entergy-owned plant announced the plant along the Hudson River would close by 2021.
The Republican says the nuclear plant's closure puts millions of people at risk.
