(New York, NY) -- Former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara says Americans should be concerned about the FBI director getting sacked.
Bharara, who was also fired recently by President Trump, tweeted that everyone who cares about independence and the "rule of law" should be troubled by the "timing and reasoning of Comey firing, period."
Bharara, the former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, was also investigating Trump when he was dismissed back in March. In March, the Justice Department asked Bharara and other federal prosecutors appointed by former President Obama to resign.
