Are there tapes or are there no tapes? The White House Press Corps seems obsessed by that question.
After President Trump fired FBI Director James Comey last week, the President tweeted a warning that Comey, "better hope that there are no 'tapes' of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!" At today’s press briefing White House spokesman Sean Spicer would not say if there are tapes. He replied that way several times today.
It is not important to me if there are tapes or not. What is important is that FBI Director Comey was mistake-prone and needed to be replaced. Now he is gone.
