(Pine Bush, NY) -- The man who pled guilty to stabbing a volunteer firefighter at a New Year's party in January of 2016 was sentenced today.
Prosecutors say 20-year-old Jauntae Brown admitted back in March that he stabbed 20-year-old Justin Speights to death. Midhudsonnews.com reports that Brown received a prison sentence of five to 15 years for the crime.
His victim Speights graduated from Pine Bush High School and later went on to serve for the Silver Lake Fire Department.
