Fleet Week Is Here In New York:

(New York, NY) -- The 2017 Fleet Week New York will kick off tomorrow with a concert in Central Park.

Now in its 29th year, Fleet Week New York is the area's annual celebration of the sea services. The activities allow citizens to meet members of the U.S. Navy, Marines and Coast Guard.

Weather permitting there will be a parade of ships on Wednesday. “The participating ships can be seen along the Hudson River between the hours of 8:15 a.m. and 1 p.m. (times may vary) from various landmarks, including Battery Park, the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, and George Washington Bridge. The flagship, USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), is scheduled to render an 7-gun salute as the ship passes Fort Hamilton. Fort Hamilton will return with a 15-gun salute.”
