Gas Prices Dip Slightly For Memorial Day Weekend

Just a few days before the Memorial Day weekend begins, gasoline prices are down slightly.

The latest Lundberg Survey says the price of gas dropped half a cent over the last two weeks to a nationwide average of $2.40 for a gallon of regular.  According to Gasbuddy, prices at the pumps in Poughkeepsie range from $2.42 to $2.69 for a gallon of regular.

Triple A says there will be more travelers on the road during this year's Memorial Day weekend because of low gas prices and a growing economy. AAA expects over 34-million Americans will drive 50 miles or more during the holiday weekend, which for many starts on Thursday.
