President Donald Trump’s budget is a good start but unfortunately Congress is going to tear it apart, and weigh it down with additional spending.
The roughly four-trillion dollar blueprint makes deep cuts in social programs while boosting defense and border spending. White House budget chief Mick Mulvaney said it was put together through the eyes of the people who pay the bills in the U.S. Mulvaney argued that the budget reflects the President's priorities. He says that Social Security and Medicare are unaffected.
The budget cuts some department’s funding by more than twenty percent which is exactly what is needed if we are ever going to deal with that huge federal debt.
