(New York, NY) -- Americans are expected to spend more than 15-billion dollars on their dads this weekend.
A study by the National Retail Foundation says the average shopper will spend nearly 135-dollars this Father's Day, about nine-dollars more than last year. Total spending is projected to reach a record high of 15-point-five-billion dollars.
Although dads are expected to get some extra love this year, Father's Day spending is still lower than Mother's Day. Mother's Day spending reached 23-billion dollars this year.
